Amazon today notified all its Kindle customers that it is bringing cloud synchronization for personal documents. The company will sync all its Kindle customers’ personal Kindle documents in a free CloudDrive account. This way those documents will be easily accessible across a number of devices, even non-Kindle devices via the web.

IBM recently announced a definitive agreement to acquire Silverpop, a privately held software company based in Atlanta, GA. Silverpop empowers marketers with cloud-based capabilities that deliver personalized customer engagements in highly scalable environments. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
