azureMicrosoft has launched a cloud in the box offering in partnership with PC giant Dell. The Azure in a box solution will allow customers to run their own on-premises datacenters efficiently. Officially labeled as the “Microsoft Cloud Platform System”, the latest offering was announced at an even in San Francisco where the company shared its vision for its cloud business.

SAP and IBMSAP, the popular German business software giant, is teaming up with IBM to join forces for the cloud. SAP is going to tap into IBM’s SoftLayer service to run the cloud-ready business applications. SAP will allow its customers to run the HANA Enterprise cloud on IBM’s SoftLayer service.
