In UK and Ireland Jelastic has launched commercially in partnership with Layershift. British developers can try Jelastic 1.8.6 immediately at Layershift site for free. The combined offering will take away the burden of Server Administration and Platform Specific programming from the shoulders of the developers and considerably reduce the App deployment time on the cloud. Jelastic Beta has also been launched in partnership with Websolute in Brazil and Brazilian developers can try the services for free.

The benefit that Jelastic provides to the users is, that it is fully compatible with all major Java software stacks, including Tomcat, GlassFish, and Jetty application servers — as well as with SQL (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, CouchDB) databases.
