gigaspacesGigaSpaces, a data scalability and application vitalization platform provider has updated its application platform XAP 9.0 which enables quickly launch a high-performance real-time analytics system for applications processing massive data sets, quickly and easily.

Realizing the businesses will not be in a position to create an analytics platform of their own like major social networks like twitter or facebook, GigaSpaces has come up with this release that enables organizations to have a real-time analytics solution for Big Data, the company said.

XAP is architected as a powerful combination of in-memory data grid and a full elastic application platform along with load balancers down to the database. It caches terabytes of application data close to the business logic that needs to access this data and comes with hot backup layer to automatically recover from failure.

With an ability to support any language including Java, C++, .Net and standard API support including Memcached, SQL, JPA, Sprint, REST and others, the solution comes with application orchestration and management  framework to deploy your entire big data application to any Cloud or data center within a single click. XAP is able to process data from all popular sources like Cassandra, Redis, HBase MongoDB and SQLR.

GigaSpaces has taken the same Twitter/Facebook-like blueprint, and made it simple enough for developers to implement a Big Data analytics system in a matter of days, or even less. “In today’s business world there is an increased – even dire – need for real-time insights, especially for large-scale location-aware mobile, social, and financial/risk analysis applications. This is clearly evidenced by the launch real-time analytics platforms by Facebook, Google, and Twitter this past year,” says Adi Paz, GigaSpaces EVP of Marketing & Business Development.
