Citrix acquires ZenpriseCitrix announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Zenprise, an innovator in mobile device management.  Following the close of the acquisition, Citrix intends to integrate the Zenprise solution for mobile device management, with its Citrix CloudGateway and Me@Work solutions for managing mobile apps and data. Citrix hopes to close the deal early next year. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

CipherCloud FundingCipherCloud, started in 2010, announced that it has secured $30 million in funding from Andreessen Horowitz. The same venture capitalist firm has also funded Okta as reported a couple of days back. CipherCloud’s existing investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures and T-Venture, the venture capital arm of Deutsche Telekom.

egenera acquires fortEgenera announced the acquisition of Fort Technologies, a cloud lifecycle software provider based in Dublin, Ireland. The acquisition enables Egenera to bring Fort’s innovative management capabilities to its PAN Cloud Director software providing customers a means to design and deliver enterprise-class cloud services.

oktaOkta announced that it has closed $25 million in Series C funding, led by new investor Sequoia Capital. Sequoia joins existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures and FLOODGATE. The investment serves as a strong endorsement of the company's vision to redefine identity management in the modern enterprise.

The company recently launched version 4.0 of its flagship platform. This new release will help in modernization of existing mission-critical enterprise applications. It also builds new cloud architected applications and services and provides support for Windows-based cloud environments.

citrixCitrix announced recently, at the AWS Re: Invent conference, the availability of Citrix NetScaler, the company’s advanced cloud networking platform, and Citrix CloudBridge, an innovative solution  for enterprises to connect securely, transparently, and with high-performance to  Amazon Web Services (AWS), via both “bring your own license” and pay-as-you-use on the AWS Marketplace.  Both solutions come in a virtual form factor that can be deployed directly on AWS. Together, they make it easier and more cost effective for enterprises to seamlessly extend their enterprise network to AWS.

The Solution has recently emerged successfully from private beta into public beta.
