skydriveCloud storage is slowly emerging as a means for cloud providers to both attract and persuade customers to join their respective brands either by way of offering a price cut or by centralizing the drives to be accessed from any medium. Microsoft to that effect has taken a step further integrating its SkyDrive with its gaming environment XBox 360.

You access it on XBox using a new SkyDrive app for Xbox 360. While the business case to integrate SkyDrive has many features to imagine, Microsoft has shown some agile approach and identified the core user requirements surrounding Photos & Videos building a SkyDrive experience for your living room.

Photos and Videos are now directly accessible on your TV as long as they are either on your SkyDrive or they are shared with you by your friends. This experience further expands to Windows based mobile phones where one can snap a picture and saved on SkyDrive. The photos almost instantly are visible via the same drive on your TV and beyond as long as same Microsoft sign in account is used.

With Microsoft's recent effort to centralize all the applications under Office 365 to provide a common access point to all its products, i guess this is a start of enriching user experience within Windows environment. With support to Kinect voice controls and gestures, it goes beyond just an experience and allows to speak to your Xbox to bring up the photos and videos you wish to see.
