Leverage The Best Of HTML5 And CSS3 With Adobe Edge

I got the opportunity to attend Adobe & HTML5 webinar which highlights the Adobe's efforts to move the web forward, here is detailed information.

To leverage the best of modern web technologies Adobe has introduced Adobe Edge Tools & Technologies, a set of modern tools for modern web, for web developers to create mind blowing interactive and animated web content with mere drag-drops and point-clicks. Adobe Edge tools developed ground up; generate minimal HMTL5 and CSS3 background code to create content that gives best of the performance. And to keep pace with the mobile world the content created is optimized for Mobile Devices of different shapes and sizes in addition to desktops. Using the tools the developers can not only create content but also test them across various devices to make sure what they have developed works fine on maximum possible devices.

Adobe Edge Suite includes a collection of 7 tools, Edge Animate, Edge Code, Edge Reflow, Edge Inspect, Edge Web Fonts, Typekit and PhoneGap Build. 

Adobe Edge Animate - To create interactive and animated web content with amazing accuracy.

Adobe Edge Reflow - For responsive web design. Currently the product is in development phase and you will be able to try your hands on it pretty soon.

Adobe Edge Code – Live Development, quick editing, and integrated visual design tooling to help speed web development without getting in the way of code. It is based on open source project Bracket.

Adobe Edge Inspect – To preview and inspect web designs on devices of all shapes and sizes from PC to tablets to mobile handsets.

Adobe Edge Web Fonts - Free web fonts that give access to a vast web font library made possible by contributions from Adobe, Google, and designers around the world to make your websites look beautiful. The fonts are served by Typekit, so users can be sure of high performance and stability

Adobe Edge TypeKit - To use commercial fonts on the web. The fonts can be browsed by classification, properties, or recommended use to make things simpler.

Adobe Edge PhoneGap Build - To package mobile apps in the cloud. Using the tool users can get store-ready apps without the headache of maintaining native SDKs.

The Edge Tools & Services are available with a free Creative Cloud membership. The free membership includes access to Edge Animate, Edge Code, Edge Web Fonts, Edge Inspect for 1 Connected Device, Phonegap Build for 1 Private App, Unlimited Public Apps, Typekit for 1 Site, 2 Fonts, 25,000 Site Views and to top it all a File Storage 2 GB. The free offering also includes a 30-Day Trial of a Every CS6 Tool & More.

Adobe Creative Cloud provides users all the tools they need to create, collaborate, and stay in sync. Users can download and install any of the new Edge Tools & Services and CS6 tools they want, plus a host of additional tools and services, including Lightroom 4, Adobe Acrobat, and the Adobe Touch Apps, for creativity on the go.
