big data trends 2014Big Data as the name indicates is a collection of huge amount of unstructured data which cannot be processed by the traditional database tools available. The analysis of this kind of data becomes necessary in some cases such as scientific, telecom or defence analysis to gain knowledge about some unknown patterns and relations.

Based on these valuable insights important decisions can be taken which are otherwise not possible. Companies having these insights will have an edge over their rivals in competition. Quite a few tools are available that give real-time insights into big data. NoSQL, Hadoop are some of the technologies that are associated with Big Data analytics.

We have earlier presented as to how retailers are being benefitted from Big Data analysis. Most of the enterprises today are taking advantage of Big Data in one way or the other.

Aureus says that big data analytics is likely to play a bigger role this year with organisations emphasising on big data projects. The company has come up with an infographic depicting the trends of big data analytics in the year 2014.
