ibm collaboration toolsIBM announced a range of new software solutions that will help clients create software applications faster and with higher quality across multiple development environments including cloud, mobile, and complex systems.

The updated products with the objective of building software to deal with cloud as a production environment and mobile as an avenue to deliver business applications are:

Enhanced Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) software which now includes extended design management capabilities. The new CLM software ensures that software design is integrated with the rest of the software application development lifecycle. Development teams are now able to seamlessly collaborate on the design and development of software with key stakeholders from across the business.

Something above and over the cloud, is that the latest release also supports Green Hat’s virtual test environment platform that allows development teams to test applications without the need to set up multiple physical labs, saving them time and money. Green Hat, maker of automated testing tools for integration, SOA (service oriented architecture) implementations and cloud-based deployments, was acquired by IBM in the beginning of the year.

Enhanced Enterprise Mobile Development Package that helps teams apply an end-to-end lifecycle management process to design, develop, test and deploy mobile applications while enabling seamless integration with enterprise back-end systems and cloud services through mobile-optimized middleware. The package includes CLM, Worklight Studio 5.0, Worklight Server 5.0, Rational Application Developer version 8.5, Rational Developer for System z version 8.5, Rational Developer for Power Systems version 8.5, and IBM Application Center 5.0

Sometime back IBM has unveiled advancement in its SmartCloud services. The key advancements revolved around SmartCloud Enterprise 2.1, SmartCloud Enterprise+ and SmartCloud Application Services (SCAS).

Enhancements in the Cloud Services includes introduction of IBM SmartCloud Continuous Delivery which ensures collaborative project development guided by DevOps methodology. The company is also offering a development management service specifically for government agencies that want the cost savings of a shared cloud environment combined with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) security.

They also have introduced IBM SmartCloud Application Performance Management software that provides comprehensive monitoring and management capabilities that enable development and operations professionals to reduce costly troubleshooting
