Skype Launches Video Messaging Services

skype video messageSkype's video messaging service is finally out of beta and has now launched on Windows, Mac, iOS, BlackBerry and Android. Surprisingly the service isn't available on Windows Phone yet but we're expecting Skype will be baked into Windows Phone in an upcoming update. The 20 video messages limit that existed on the beta has been removed and users can now send unlimited video messages to their Skype contacts. However Windows Phone users can receive these video messages but cannot send them.

digg readerGoogle raised quite a few eyebrows when it announced that it'll be shutting down Google Reader in March as a part of its spring cleaning measures. The RSS reader didn't have enough users, according to the company, for it to care about developing and maintaining it. Since then several alternatives have cropped up to grab Google Reader's audience who'll soon have nowhere to go. Amongst them are Feedly, Digg Reader and Reeder.

amazon kindlefireAmazon has finally launched its Kindle tablets and e-readers in India. After the launch of it's marketplace in the country, the company is now making an obvious, yet big, move by introducing the Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle keyboard in the country. Although the latter had been launched earlier as well, it had met with an extremely low inventory and Amazon is now directly selling it on their own marketplace apart from offline retailers.
