The latest release adds new features to simplify test configuration with point-and-click capability for creating extractors and functionality for auto-cloning parameters. The test configuration errors are automatically exposed on new object validation tree. To provide more precise, test requirement specific information, additional support has been provided for monitoring performance of custom business transactions created by an enterprise to test their business specific requirements.
A new extractor type has been introduced that allows extracting a value from an XML response, using XPath query. This can be especially helpful in load testing web services. Interface with external analytical tools allows extended custom reporting. To further strengthen the enterprise offering StresStimulus now supports performance testing of broadly used enterprise applications such as Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, SAP BPC, Salesforce and many frameworks.

As announced shortly after the Fiddler acquisition by Telerik, that StesStimulus will be introduced as a stand alone version, independent of the Fiddler versions, V2.5 of StresStimulus also completed the majority of the groundwork of migration to a standalone version with the following milestones:
- The load engine is now completely independent from Fiddler. Remote agents can run as a service and generate load without using Fiddler.
- The new completely reengineered UI enables to record, configure and run load tests without touching the Fiddler UI.
- StresStimulus now has its own, autonomous from Fiddler, request/ response inspectors, session comparison inspector, advanced sessions search and filtering capability, all of which are optimized for load testing.
The standalone version will be available in v3.0, when users can decide whether to use a Fiddler add-on version or a standalone version, at no additional cost.
With the dawn of 2013, StresStimulus has also introduced a Service Provider Edition of the Tool designed for customers that need to use StresStimulus to provide services to their own clients.
