neoloadNeotys, an easy-to-use, cost-effective load & performance testing tools for web and mobile applications, recently announced the release of NeoLoad 4.0, a major new revision of its load and performance testing solution designed for web applications to realistically simulate user activity and analyze server behaviour.

NeoLoad already provided its users the features to quickly, efficiently and frequently test their applications giving them confidence to deploy Internet, intranet or mobile applications irrespective of the underlying architecture and technology.

Moving ahead NeoLoad is quickly adapting itself according to the current industry trends. Along with enhanced features of the product as expected with every release of the product by the developer/testing community, NeoLoad has improved the package as a whole for the enterprises, giving them more flexibility in terms of the usage and pricing of the product.

More and more testing tools are moving towards next generation testing with making cloud offering and collbarative features as default. Recently SmartBear and MicroFocus have also launched their on-demand version for their respective software testing products.

For the load testers:

Huge projects demand collaboration and that demand can now be met by NeoLoad ‘s shared repository support through Neotys Team Server. With version 4.0, several testers can be involved in the creation and the analyses of test cases which enable teams to save time and be more productive. With the latest NeoLoad release it is now possible to record mobile versions of the web apps from the desktop. For mobile applications, to make things closer to reality, NeoLoad has introduced a network emulation feature which allows the users to select the mobile networks on which they wish to test their applications. Now the tool not now only detects the video requests in a project but also provides specific statistics related to the quality of the video playback. Users can record and replay video requests using different protocols (HTTP, RTMP) and video formats (flv, avi, mpeg4…).

For the enterprises:

Flexibility in licensing is what keeps the enterprises happy and that is exactly what you will get from the NeoLoad 4.0 as stated by Gerald Labie, CEO, Neotys USA.

“With 4.0 we have eliminated the trade off between having to choose between an easy-to-use, cost effective performance tool and an enterprise class solution,”

NeoLoad 4.0 is offered with new licensing options for increased flexibility to accommodate a range of use cases from multi-project environments to single per project rentals. New licenses will allow team members to share a license and run concurrent tests. The rental license is now more flexible by allowing non-consecutive days of testing. You can also choose to use improved on-demand cloud testing that provides a flexible “pay as you go” approach for performance testing of applications.
