Joyent, the cloud infrastructure company has announced a new Apache Hadoop-based solution to handle Big Data. The product allows companies to run enterprise-class Hadoop on Joyent Cloud. The company claims to reduce costs and dramatically decrease query response times which adds to the benefit of its customers.

One of the leading global technology research and advisory companies, Gartner has recommended that Business intelligence (BI) and analytics need to ramp up immediately to support the robust growth in data sources. The statement by Gartner comes a few days before a series of worldwide BI and Analytical summits organised by Gartner.
